…The cupcakes!

There have now been two farmer’s markets at Bogert Park here in Bozeman, and it has been established that even though people might be there for veggies- they also want cupcakes!

Here’s the cast of characters from this week:

Coconut cupcake with a coconut swiss-meringue buttercream frosting and flake coconut for garnish.

Vanilla cupcake with vanilla swiss-meringue buttercream.

Vanilla cupcake with dark chocolate frosting.

I have to admit- I’m quite partial to coconut- and they sold like hotcakes. Like coconut hotcakes? Perhaps. Anyway. This past Tuesday was a lovely early summer day and was not plagued by the downpour that hit the week before. It stayed sunny this week, and people responded by venturing out of their homes and on to the Bogert Farmers Market.

I’d also like to give a big high-five to swiss-meringue buttercream frosting. The temperature outside this week was a perfect temperature to make the swiss-meringue pretty much dissolve in your mouth- a lovely sensation that is followed by a sweetness not found in your every day frosting. Yum!

I’ll not be around on the 14th of June but try back the week after. I’ll hopefully have some sort of gluten free variety of cupcake for those who usually are not able to partake in baked goods that come in the shape of a miniature cake.
